We are currently looking to recruit skilled MIG/Coded Welders to support ongoing contracts within our Lydney site assembly operations.
We welcome applications from skilled individuals who have served a recognised engineering apprenticeship in Welding & Fabrication using MIG or time served in a Welding & Fabrication role.
To be successful you will need the following skills and experience:
- Must be competent in MIG welding various gauge mild steel ranging from 1.5 mm to 15mm thick in various weld positions
- Must be able to interpret engineering drawings
- Ensure parts are produced on a ‘right first time’ basis
- Responsible for highlighting any non-conformance to the Chargehand and Supervisor
- Responsible for general housekeeping within the area
This position will require you to work within a small team therefore you will need to be self-motivated, have a willingness to learn and be flexible in the tasks that you undertake in order to support the needs of your team and the business. Attention to detail is key as you will be required to work to high customer, quality and regulatory standards, often to tight deadlines.
Pay: £13.29 per hour to £16.93 per hour dependent on skill set
Hours: Monday to Thursday : 7.30 am to 16.30 pm Fri – 7.30 am to 13.30 pm
Lydney is within easy commuting distance of Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bristol and South Wales. We operate a travel allowance policy of 30p per mile paid after a 30 mile return commute.

About the Saturday School:
Held every Saturday morning from 07:00 to 11:00
- Get hands-on experience and try your hand at welding
- Learn more about the role of a Fabrication Welder and what the career entails
- All training and PPE provided – just bring your interest and enthusiasm!
Upon completing one session of our Welding School , you’ll receive full details on how to apply for one of our Trainee Welder positions.
Trainee Welder Pay Rate: If successful starting from £12.28 per hour. Earning potential of up to £17.35 once fully trained.
Full training provided – no prior experience necessary!
