Welders

We are currently looking to recruit skilled MIG/Coded Welders to support ongoing contracts within our Lydney site assembly operations.
We welcome applications from skilled individuals who have served a recognised engineering apprenticeship in Welding & Fabrication using MIG or time served in a Welding & Fabrication role.
To be successful you will need the following skills and experience:
- Must be competent in MIG welding various gauge mild steel ranging from 1.5 mm to 15mm thick in various weld positions
- Must be able to interpret engineering drawings
- Ensure parts are produced on a ‘right first time’ basis
- Responsible for highlighting any non-conformance to the Chargehand and Supervisor
- Responsible for general housekeeping within the area
This position will require you to work within a small team therefore you will need to be self-motivated, have a willingness to learn and be flexible in the tasks that you undertake in order to support the needs of your team and the business. Attention to detail is key as you will be required to work to high customer, quality and regulatory standards, often to tight deadlines.
Pay: £13.29 per hour to £16.93 per hour dependent on skill set
Hours: Monday to Thursday : 7.30 am to 16.30 pm Fri – 7.30 am to 13.30 pm
Lydney is within easy commuting distance of Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bristol and South Wales. We operate a travel allowance policy of 30p per mile paid after a 30 mile return commute.

Plumbers

We now have opportunities for skilled Plumbers to join our team. Ideally you will have a plumbing qualification, or on the job experience. We invest in our people and offer ongoing training and development.
Duties include:
- Build plumbing sub-assemblies, following schematic drawings/master examples
- Fit plumbing sub assembles into containers, install pipe work to complete the plumbing system
- Install complete plumbing system within a container from scratch where sub-assemblies are not available
- Build and install toilet cubicles, install toilets and connect water and foul pipework
- Test plumbed systems
Requirements:
- Level 1 Plumbing minimum, preferably level 2
- We welcome applications from college leavers looking to gain practical experience following their plumbing training
- Good communication skills
- Ability to read & interpret documents, reports, drawings i.e., safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, manuals etc
- Prepared to undergo further development & training i.e. G3, Gas safe, LPG
In addition to Plumbing responsibilities, you will be required to flex your skills supporting the Lining team. Full training can be provided for the right candidate.

Paint Sprayers

We now have opportunities for experienced Sprayers to join our team.
We currently operate a morning shift 06.00 – 14.00 and we will shortly be introducing an afternoon shift between 14.00 – 22.00 which will attract a 30% shift premium.
Duties:
Responsible for the paint finish of mild steel containers for industrial and commercial use.
- Mix paint and other materials according to specification or formula
- Ensure facility and spray-painting equipment are in good working condition
- Utilise spray gun and apply paint in conformance with all specifications
- Monitor equipment operation to discover defects/deviations from standards, and make necessary adjustments
- Utilise solvents, wire brushes, and cloths for cleaning sprayers and power equipment
- Follow company requirements to select paint, and match colours of paint following specified colour charts
Further training and ongoing development to advance your skills will be provided for successful candidates.
Hours: Monday to Friday 0600 – 14.00 and 14.00 – 22.00. (The starting shift pattern will be 06.00 – 14.00).
Pay: Hourly rate between £13.29 – 16.93 per hour plus shift allowance of 30% of hourly rate.
